About the Artist
The central issue in Patryce's work is the call to waken a perception that is supersensory, where vision is independent of sight. She has spent the last several years working on a body of work entitled, "Souls Triangles Space." In this work, Patryce draws on notions in metaphysics to investigate the spatial and temporal qualities of the photograph, as rendered by the latent narrative of mundane interior spaces and landscapes.
Born in Poland, Patryce has lived in the US since the age of seven. She lives and works in Manhattan and is currently in the Master of Fine Arts program at Hunter College.
